The demand for reclaimed wafers arises from the semiconductor IC manufacturing process, where wafers are used for process monitoring (Monitor wafer) and as dummy wafers (Dummy wafer). Through wafer reclamation technology, these wafers are brought into compliance with the original specifications for monitoring wafers, allowing for a reduction in wafer procurement quantities and achieving cost control in wafer manufacturing.
 
Reclaimed wafers undergo a specialized stripping process, which efficiently handles various thin films used in IC Fab processes, such as photoresist films, oxide films, and metal films, without affecting chip characteristics. The utilization of polishing techniques ensures the minimal removal rate and electrical characteristics requirements for incoming silicon wafers from customers. Cleaning processes are employed to achieve optimal cleanliness, significantly improving customer return rates and increasing the usability of dummy wafers.
